Mozart Secondary Sophomore wins the 34th Annual TAME STEM Competition.

Israel Hernandez, 10 th grade student at Vanguard Mozart Secondary, participated in the 34th annual Texas Alliance of Minorities in Engineering (TAME) STEM competition. This year’s competition was sponsored by ConocoPhillips and held at Forest Glen Camp in Huntsville, Texas. Students from around the state applied their skills in Mathematics, Science and Engineering. After taking individual math and science tests, students from different ages and hometowns came together in teams to practice their collaborative problem solving skills in the Engineering Design Challenge. Along with five other students from around the state, Team #43, The Fishing Masters, placed 1st in the Engineering Design Challenge. Congratulations Israel on this great accomplishment
