Rembrandt Secondary high school students visited and toured our Nation’s Capital!

For the first time ever, on June 19, several students from Vanguard Academy Rembrandt Secondary took an unforgettable 4-day trip to Washington DC organized by teacher Ms. Veronica Benitez. Together with our chaperones Mr. Adan Tijerina, Mr. Carlos De La Garza, Mrs. Diana Villarreal, Mr. Florentino Valenzuela and our Assistant Principal Ms. Marie Olivarez, this trip was an undeniably memorable experience for all our students and traveling staff.  Students were given the opportunity to explore the historical landmarks that make our nation rich in history; these include The Capitol, Thomas Jefferson Library of Congress, George Washington House in Mount Vernon, amongst many memorials, museums and an ongoing protest.  This educational trip created a memorable impact for the students' education by providing them a firsthand historical view and further expanding their interest in the importance of history.
