Regular school attendance is essential to your child’s academic success and personal growth. Each school day provides important learning experiences that cannot be fully replaced when missed.
We understand that absences due to illness or emergencies happen; however, we ask that you make every effort to ensure your child attends school daily, arrives on time, and refrains from frequent early releases unless absolutely necessary.

1. Afterschool Tutoring resumes for 3rd-5th on Monday's and Tuesday's.
2. We celebrate Kindness Week and students can participate.
To participate students must wear Kindness Top of the day and Uniform Bottom.
3. No Jeans until Fridays.
4. If students do not participate in activities then option is Regular Uniform day.
5. Attendance matters at Picasso.
6. Please refrain from constant Early Releases from school time. Keep in mind students' instruction is from 8:00 am-3:45 pm.

We are only as strong as all of us—together. This month and always, we celebrate excellence, resilience, and impact.

Sofia, a 5th grader at Picasso Elementary, led the Pledge of Allegiance and Texas Pledge with confidence and pride. A Vanguard student since PK3, she shines through academics, UIL competitions, and artistic achievements—including artwork showcased in STC exhibitions. 🎨✨
Israel, a senior at Mozart PTECH ECHS, delivered the student prayer and exemplifies perseverance and excellence. A Vanguard student since 2nd grade, he recently earned his Associate’s degree and plans to attend Texas A&M University to pursue engineering with a focus on technology and service through robotics. 🎓🤖

Vanguard Academy Family, as we continue to monitor the weather and in anticipation of continued cold conditions, Vanguard Academy will have a delayed start to school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Below is everything you need to know:
Students
• School will begin at 9:00 a.m.
• Uniforms will not be required
• Students may wear pajamas or other cozy, school-appropriate clothing
• Students may also bring a blanket and a favorite plushy
Campuses:
• Will open at 7:15 a.m. and begin welcoming students.
• Breakfast will be available upon arrival.
Staff:
• Report time is regular work schedule
• Staff are welcome to wear jeans and warm, school-appropriate clothing.
Transportation:
• Buses will run their normal routes. Students will be picked up at their regular stops between 8:15 am and 8:30 a.m.
Thank you for your understanding as we take the necessary precautions to ensure a safe learning day. We appreciate your flexibility and partnership!
