Van Gogh Afternoon Pick up
HI parents, please check out the attached image for the Afternoon Pick up routes.
For families with students in both elementary and secondary:
If you have students in grade PK3-1st, their older siblings will come from their classrooms to the PK3-1st grade classes.
If your youngest students are in 2nd grade and up, they will travel to the pick up spot for their oldest sibling, including the secondary pick up.
Please note, early pick up in the front office stops at 2:30pm.
The gates for regular line pick up start at 2:45.
All traffic will exit to Moore Road and turn right. Per city ordinance, there is no left turn at that time of day.
Please be alert, be safe and follow the direction of staff and security. Please also have your car tag readily available.
Students must be picked up by 4:15, if not in the ACE program or another after school activity.

Our students had a wonderful field trip yesterday as part of their GT Camp! 🐢✨ We enjoyed an educational visit to Sea Turtle Inc., where students learned about sea turtle conservation and marine life. The day ended with plenty of fun, laughter, and adventure at Urban Air. Vanguard Academy is proud to recognize Alexa “Lexie” Martinez for opening the May Board Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, Texas Pledge, and Invocation.⭐
Lexie is the daughter of Aridai and Jorge Martinez and will be an upcoming junior at Van Gogh Early College High School for the 2026–2027 school year. She has proudly attended Vanguard Academy since Pre-K and is a member of the school’s inaugural secondary class. 🎓
Throughout her journey, Lexie has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and school pride. Last year, she successfully completed a six-week Youth Police Academy, earning recognition upon graduation. 👮♀️👏 She was also recently accepted into the Dual Enrollment Criminal Justice Academy at South Texas College, continuing to pursue her passion for public service and leadership.
In addition, Lexie competed in DECA and advanced to the state-level competition, showcasing her commitment to academic and extracurricular excellence. 💼🏅

This is a reminder about tomorrow’s Award Assemblies and several important updates:
• The new location is the Pharr Research and Development Center (850 W. Dicker Rd., Pharr, TX 78577).
• Due to limited seating, each student may bring ONLY TWO guests.
• Students will be transported by school bus. Parents may go directly to the venue.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility as construction on our new Vanguard Van Gogh ECHS campus begins ahead of schedule. We look forward to celebrating our students with you tomorrow!
