Thank you for your continued support as we work together to keep our Royals safe and prepared! 🏫💙

👑✨ Celebrating Our First Positive Office Referrals of the School Year! ✨👑 A huge ROYAL congratulations to our first two students to receive a Positive Office Referral this school year! 💙💛 Ana Guerrero and Sofia Gomez Torres have been showing us what it truly means to be a Responsible and Respectful Royal through their daily choices, hard work, positive attitudes, and dedication. 👏 We are incredibly proud of the example they are setting for their peers and the way they are representing the Royal Standard! 💙👑

🌊💙 ROYALS MAKING A DIFFERENCE! 💙🌊 A huge thank you to our HOSA students for their participation in today’s Adopt-a-Beach cleanup at South Padre Island! 🏖️🧤 We are proud of our students for giving their time, working together, and helping keep our beautiful coastline clean. Your commitment to service, leadership, and community truly represents the Royal standard! 👑 Thank you for being leaders both in and out of the classroom! 💙💛

🏐👑 VICTORY FOR OUR ROYALS! 👑🏐 Congratulations to our MS Blue Volleyball Team on an exciting victory over St. Joseph Academy! 💙💛 We are so proud of our athletes for their hard work, teamwork, and Royal spirit! Keep shining, Royals! 👏🏐 Way to go, Lady Royals! 💙💛

Royals, our fire alarm was activated in the gym. As a precaution, all students and coaches were evacuated. The fire department made their way out to inspect the area. Fire department has given the all clear.

💙 Thank you, Royal Families, for your partnership! 👑

We recognize there was some miscommunication regarding dress-up days, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility. Moving forward, we want to make sure we are all on the same page and working together to follow our dress code policy consistently.

Please take a moment to review the reminder below. Together, we can keep our Royals looking sharp, prepared, and ready to learn! 💙👑

👑 A Friendly Reminder for Our Royal Families! 👑 We appreciate your continued partnership in helping us ensure that all of our Royals are safe, respectful, responsible, and ready to learn! 💙💛 Please take a moment to review and reinforce our district policies regarding uniforms, cellphones, and backpacks with your student. Your support at home makes a big difference in helping us maintain consistent expectations at school. 👖 Uniforms: • Black pants are NOT part of our campus uniform and are not permitted. • Students should wear the approved uniform pants according to district guidelines. • Jackets and sweaters must be Vanguard sweaters purchased through Duratex. Other jackets, hoodies, or sweaters are not permitted as part of the school uniform. 📱 Cellphones: Students are expected to follow the district’s cellphone expectations throughout the school day. Please help us by reviewing these expectations with your student. 🎒 Backpacks: Students must also follow the district’s approved backpack guidelines. We know that reminders and consistency between home and school help our students be successful. Thank you for partnering with us and helping our Royals meet the Royal Standard every day! 👑💙💛 Together, we can keep our campus safe, respectful, responsible, and focused on learning!

🇲🇽❤️💚 ¡Viva México, Royals! 💚🤍❤️ Our Royal families, let’s celebrate Mexican Independence Day together! 🇲🇽✨ This Wednesday, September 16th, we invite our students and staff to wear the colors of Mexico or traditional Mexican attire as we honor Mexico’s rich history, culture, heritage, and the spirit of independence. 🏐👑 ROYALS, WE HAVE SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE! 👑🏐 Congratulations to our 7th & 8th Grade Volleyball teams on their victories over La Villa! 🎉💙💛 Our Royals showed up with heart, hustle, teamwork, and determination from start to finish. We are so proud of the way these athletes represented Van Gogh Secondary and continued to raise the Royal Standard! 👑

📢 UPDATE: BUILDING REENTRY Dear Royal Families, We have received the all-clear from the fire department, and our secondary buildings have been cleared for reentry. Students and staff are safe, and we are now returning to our buildings. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we followed all safety protocols. We understand that situations like this can be concerning, but please know that student safety remains our highest priority. We will resume normal operations at this time. Thank you for trusting us to care for and protect our Royals! 💙💛 With Royal Pride, Van Gogh Secondary

Parent/Family Notice Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily evacuated our buildings. The fire department is on its way to assess the situation. All students and staff are safe, and there is no need to be alarmed. We are following all safety protocols and will keep you informed as we receive additional information. We will notify families once students are cleared to safely reenter the buildings. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our Royal family. 💙💛

📢 Important Pickup Procedures for the Next Two Days Please be advised that pickup procedures will be temporarily adjusted for the next two days due to events taking place in our gym. Because the gym will be unavailable, we will not be able to house our high school students in the gym during regular dismissal. For the next two days, please follow these pickup locations: 🏫 Middle School: Students will be picked up in the area near the Dance Hall. 🏫 High School: Students will be picked up near the Secondary Building. This alternate pickup route will be used whenever events in the gym prevent us from following our normal dismissal procedures. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and cooperation as we make these temporary adjustments. Regular pickup procedures will resume on Monday, September 14th. Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe, organized, and efficient for all of our Royals! 💙💛 Go Royals! 👑

📢 Van Gogh Royals Families, Please be advised that Van Gogh will conduct a Shelter-in-Place Drill today. This drill is an important part of our campus safety procedures and allows students and staff to practice how to respond calmly and appropriately should a real situation ever occur. During the drill, students and staff will remain indoors, follow staff directions, limit movement, and maintain a calm and quiet environment. This is only a drill—no emergency is occurring.
