Vanguard Academy's Dance Teams have kicked off the summer with Dance Camp. The first three days were dedicated to Officers Camp, followed by three days of Line Camp. Their growth in leadership, technique, and performance quality was truly inspiring to witness. The Beethoven, Rembrandt, and Van Gogh dancers trained with dedication, energy, and focus. It was a rewarding experience that not only strengthened their dance abilities, but also their bond as a team. The pictures reflect the energy and spirit our dancers brought to camp. We’re incredibly proud of their commitment and can’t wait to carry this momentum into the upcoming school year.

Vanguard Academy is open 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays. The district will be closed the week of June 30th through July 7th and will return on July 14th. Our modified work scheduled will run through Friday, July 25th. We resume regular work hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, on Monday, July 28th.

Congratulations to our Rembrandt Secondary Seniors who worked diligently to complete their requirements and obtained their nationally recognized South Texas College Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certification, and to a few more that went the extra mile and also obtained their Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification. We are certain that this will be a stepping stone to a promising future for you in the medical field. Our 9th grade Health Science students had the exciting opportunity to attend an RGVLEAD-hosted event at Texas A&M University Tres Lagos. During the event, students participated in engaging team-building activities and listened to inspiring presentations from industry professionals. Guest speakers included Lucy Salinas, Associate Director of Construction and Engineering at AT&T, and Eloy Garza, CEO and Founder of Career Bridge, who shared valuable insights into career pathways and leadership. It was a meaningful experience that broadened our students' perspectives on future opportunities in health science and beyond!
