Today, we will spotlight Ms. Pamela Buentello, High School Teacher at Rembrandt Secondary.
Ms. Buentello stated that what inspired her to become a teacher was, "my love of literature inspired me to become a teacher. I wanted to bring this love of reading and writing to others, and the college advisor encouraged me to pursue teaching after graduation."
Ms. Buentello, thank you for your dedication and commitment to ensure student learning is happening in our classrooms! Your services are valuable.

Vanguard Academy is excited to once again offer FREE summer meals for children in our community beginning next week! 💙☀️
Families are invited to take advantage of our Summer Feeding Program, providing nutritious breakfast and lunch meals throughout the summer. 🍎🥛

Vanguard Academy is proud to recognize Alexa “Lexie” Martinez for opening the May Board Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, Texas Pledge, and Invocation.⭐
Lexie is the daughter of Aridai and Jorge Martinez and will be an upcoming junior at Van Gogh Early College High School for the 2026–2027 school year. She has proudly attended Vanguard Academy since Pre-K and is a member of the school’s inaugural secondary class. 🎓
Throughout her journey, Lexie has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and school pride. Last year, she successfully completed a six-week Youth Police Academy, earning recognition upon graduation. 👮♀️👏 She was also recently accepted into the Dual Enrollment Criminal Justice Academy at South Texas College, continuing to pursue her passion for public service and leadership.
In addition, Lexie competed in DECA and advanced to the state-level competition, showcasing her commitment to academic and extracurricular excellence. 💼🏅
