💙💛 Celebrating World Teachers’ Day! 🍎

Thankful and grateful for the opportunity to join Teach For America and the City of Pharr as the City officially proclaimed October 5 as World Teachers’ Day!

Vanguard Academy was proud to be represented by teachers from each of our Pharr campuses, including:

🍎 Yesenia Martinez – Rembrandt Elementary
🍎 Ashley Enriquez – Rembrandt ECHS
🍎 Carlos Garcia – Picasso Elementary
🍎 Karen Cortez – Van Gogh Elementary
🍎 Lynn Edler – Van Gogh ECHS

The impact of a teacher extends far beyond the classroom. Teachers inspire dreams, open doors, shape futures, and influence every profession and career across our communities and around the world. Behind every profession is a teacher who helped pave the way!

To all of our Vanguard Academy teachers and educators everywhere, we recognize you, celebrate you, and thank you for the difference you make each and every day. Your dedication, passion, and commitment leave a lasting impact on the students you serve and the generations that follow.

Thank you for teaching. Thank you for inspiring. Thank you for making a difference! 💙💛

🫓💙 Parents at Work!

Our cafeterias at Rembrandt Elementary and Mozart Early Childhood Center were filled with parents learning, laughing, and keeping traditions alive!

Families from across Vanguard Academy came together for a Flour Tortilla Making Class. In Pharr, the class was led by Rembrandt Elementary Principal Mayra Padilla, while at Mozart Early Childhood Center, Vanguard parent Brenda Cervantes shared her skills and helped lead families through the tortilla-making experience.

More than learning how to make flour tortillas from scratch, parents had the opportunity to build a skill they can share with their children—helping preserve traditions that can be passed down from generation to generation. 💛

A special thank you to Principal Padilla and Mrs. Cervantes for sharing their time and talents, and to all of our parents who participated and continue to make family engagement an important part of the Vanguard Academy experience!

🫓 Building skills. Celebrating traditions. Creating memories.

💙💛 Engaging Families. Building Connections. Strengthening Our Vanguard Community.

Last week, we hosted our first Parent Ambassador Meeting of the 2026–2027 school year, welcoming back our returning Parent Ambassadors and introducing new parents representing campuses from across Vanguard Academy!

Our Parent Ambassador Program reinforces our commitment to engaging families as partners in supporting student success. During the meeting, parents learned more about the goals and objectives of the program, connected and interacted with fellow parents from across the district, and explored how they can serve as ambassadors for their campuses and the Vanguard Academy community.

We are grateful for our Parent Ambassadors who are stepping forward to share their voices, strengthen communication, and help us continue building meaningful connections between our schools and families.

Together, we are building stronger schools and a stronger Vanguard Academy community! 💙💛

💙💛 Involucrando a las Familias. Creando Conexiones. Fortaleciendo Nuestra Comunidad Vanguard.
