You began your journey in PK3 in 2011, graduated from Kindergarten in Spring 2014, started middle school in August 2019, and experienced uniquely different school years during the COVID era. 💙📚 Through it all, you persevered — and now we are preparing to celebrate one of your greatest milestones yet: high school graduation! 🎉🎓
⏳ In just THREE months, we will come together to honor your learning, memories, and growth throughout your years at Vanguard, as well as the many accomplishments that lie ahead. 🌟🚀

🎉 This past week, three of our Career and Technical Education (CTE) students represented Vanguard Academy at the Texas State Capitol! 🏛️
Jillian Rodriguez, a senior at Beethoven ECHS; Regina Garza, an 11th grader at Mozart P-TECHS; and Violeta Medrano, a 12th grader at Rembrandt P-TECHS, had the opportunity to participate in RGV LEAD’s Young Leaders Summit.
During the summit, our students attended a State Board of Education (SBOE) meeting where they not only met local and state representatives such as Judge Sandra Avila Ramirez and Judge Randy Ortega 🤝, but also presented on the importance of CTE in the Rio Grande Valley and how Vanguard Academy is making an impact by supporting our local workforce 💼. Through our CTE Department, students can choose from 11 programs of study, including, but not limited to, health science 🩺, criminal justice ⚖️, and welding 🔧.
👏 Thank you, Jillian, Regina, and Violeta, for being a voice in today’s society, for proudly representing Vanguard Academy and the Valley in Austin, and, above all, for the passion you bring to everything you do. 💙

We are proud to recognize Sofia Rose Mendez and Israel Ibanez, two outstanding Vanguard Academy students who represented our district during January's Board Meeting.
Sofia, a 5th grader at Picasso Elementary, led the Pledge of Allegiance and Texas Pledge with confidence and pride. A Vanguard student since PK3, she shines through academics, UIL competitions, and artistic achievements—including artwork showcased in STC exhibitions. 🎨✨
Israel, a senior at Mozart PTECH ECHS, delivered the student prayer and exemplifies perseverance and excellence. A Vanguard student since 2nd grade, he recently earned his Associate’s degree and plans to attend Texas A&M University to pursue engineering with a focus on technology and service through robotics. 🎓🤖
